Well of course, that's certainly the hope, but that desire isn't universal. That's what this site is for, though. In that spirit, 470Evans started a string intended to be an enlightening exercise about one of the benchmark models of the Golden Era of the British double rifle trade (he's owned many of these and is very well informed about them). Such a discussion could be quite useful to those interested in buying a good example of a highly desireable model that's regularly available today. Unfortunately, one particular poster that has been consistently militant about his low regard of British guns, and the fact the he has NO such desire to learn anything about them, felt the need hijack the thread by pissing on it and crowing about his right to do so, instead of just ignoring a string that he had no interest in, and nothing to contribute to. Unfortunately, every board seems to have a tosser or two.
