With the help of some really great and knowledgable members here, I have decided to build a 577 on a 10 gauge action. Cost of donor gun is $700.00. Barrels quoted at $230.00 each. This did not include chambering. So I will either build a shooters grade 577 for not too much money, or I will ruin a good donor gun and two barrel blanks trying!

Well I know what it costs to put a 577 NfB together on a Shotgun action (refer the 577 Light Nitro that Marrakai has written about on his web site and on here) and that was built on a Aus $400 Greener Empire shotgun action and the thing still cost more than a few thousand to build, regulate etc etc.
600 Nitro barrels don't come cheap (does anything over .510 come cheap nowadays).
I just find $2500 and unbelievable price, that's all.
And as someone pointed out, a 600 Nitro double that comes off the face after 60 rounds isn't any use to anyone.
bwana the calibres you have listed are pretty hot calibres - 375H&H, 458 ???? OR are they generic calibres for the 375 and 450 flanged versions ?
