Re: Famars Rifles?

Not a double rifle, but back in 1988 I bought a Farmars - Abbiatico & Salvinelli - side by side shotgun, a "Tribute" model. Everything about it, workmanship, fit, finish, engraving, balance, weight distribution etc was superb. It was a lovely gun to use and I did some fine shooting with it. It was a single trigger, detachable boxlock ejector gun, covered in fine rose and scroll engraving. In the years I owned it, I put nearly 10,000 shells through it and the action was as tight when I sold it as it was the day I bought it.

It was truly a magnificent gun, I wish I still had it.

I would love to have a double rifle by Abbiatico & Salvinelli. I see no reason to expect anything but the best quality, fully equal to or better than that of my shotgun.
