I have a DVD box set of Peter Hathaway Capstick on his last series of safaris just prior to his death. I noticed that he also carried two spare cartridges in his fingers while hunting DG with a double. Maybe that works for some folks - I've tried it and it feels a bit awkward for me. For me: the double gun for fun, when my life's in question - bolt action all the way!
