Two days ago I finally received the missing die I needed to reload some shells so that I could finally shoot my .470 NE, which I did yesterday at long last! It seems to be shooting very well, though I have only been shooting offhand at 10 and 25 yards and have not yet put it on the bench to see how my shooting / groups measures up to the targets that Krieghoff sent with the rifle. I was reading through the instructions that came with the rifle and Krieghoff recommends that I do not use a wire brush in the bore when cleaning the rifle. What are the thoughts on this and are there any special tricks I should know about when cleaning my double? How often do all of you clean your rifle when you are practicing with it (i.e. every evening, after X amount of rounds, etc..)? Has anyone used or had any expereince with using a Bore Snake on their double? Thanks for your thoughts and I am enjoying learning the world of Double Guns! AKPH |
