If you wouldn't consider rechambering, don't buy it. The only fix for a 458wm/Lott that doesn't extract or eject with 100% reliability is to rechamber to 450NE. But this is the beauty of the opportunity. If the rifle were in 450NE or 470, it wouldn't be a bargain, it would be priced much higher. Rechambering isn't that expensive (at least here) and neither is reregulating, and with rechambering there is a 50% chance chance of needing reregulation. I would bet some $'s that the rifle was made as a 458wm, btw. Check proof. Rather than restock, consider removing the cheekpiece and having the stock bent. I'm a lefty as well, and this can work wonders. JPK |
