Hi all Looking at the old hammer guns, double rifle´s, shotgun´s and drilling´s. Some of them, are just superb looking gun´s, so nice, well made, got good balance and so. Will be a joy to take them out on the shooting range or even better, out hunting once more. But, how did the hunter´s back then operated them? Say a hunter was stalking a Buff, and got to the shot, did he cock one or two hammer´s? What I mean is, when the two hammer´s are cock, are the gun still safe? Or CAN the second hammer fall and fire the next round, as a result of the recoil? Better to cock one hammer, fire and make the next one ready? |
