I seem to remember Ray Ordorica had good words to say about a .470 Churchill he owned for a couple of decades, don't imagine there would be too many of them floating around. He wrote an article many years ago called "Twenty years with a double .470" specifically about that rifle, no idea which US gun-mag, maybe someone else here remembers it?
Think that one was a Webley-built box-lock though, from memory.
This gun was recently for sale. I think the ask was $32K which seemed very reasonable for what it is, seeing as how many standard big bore boxlocks are around that price nowdays. I can't imagine a sidelock Churchill of that quality - must be unbelievable!
