IMO, if they had just thoroughly cleaned this gun - scrub the engraving etc., it would sell much quicker. Heck, wouldn't take much to get the barrels down to "in the white" for the next owner to finish to his liking. Also, not knowing the chamber length seems silly. One thing this gun has going for it is the wood looks high around almost all of the metal and was a high grade gun to begin with. Well worth a restoration to my mind. I hate when stuff like this comes available - too tempting - keeps me from saving for higher grade rifles - and I do crave a .577BPE... |
