Birdhunter: Great solution to a vexing problem. What load do you use? Something came to mind. I believe if I had a gun set up I'd want it set up to a load of my own concoction with components that had been around for a long time or ones that were cheap enough to stockpile specifically for the gun. My concern would be that the way factories are constantly changing loads, especially in shotgun gauges, the load I regulated my gun for would be discontinued! Some factory loads might be difficult to duplicate as a handload. A good home-brewed RB load as Daryl has discussed would seem to be a good option, eliminating the possibility that "product improvements" could leave a guy in high weeds with a gun the is crosseyed. Of course, the adjustable barrel jobs preclude this. Thoughts? |
