Get hold of a chronograph when working out loads and stick to the appropriate velocity ranges for the bullet weight and calibre. When you have an appropriate load which is reasonably accurate and regulates, you stick to it. Unlike bolt actions in a big double rifle you are likely to have only a single bullet weight (or two bullet weights) and a FMJ and SPRN in that weight. Once you have worked it out, it won't change often. Of course some like to play around a lot. |
