Huvius, I will make these with double underbites. It doesn't need them, a single would be enough, but I like seeing features like that on items like this. I can't put it into words, maybe that details like that show a desire to build something special, and that is what I am after here. Not JUST a 22, but a rifle with features that make it a joy to own. The firing pins will most likely not be bushed from the front. I would like to make the firing pins as a threaded capsule. That way if there is a problem, the trigger group can be removed ( the locks will be mounted on a removeable block similar to many other guns being made today like A. Zoli or FAMARS) and the pins removed without pulling off the stock. Hammers will be rebounding as well. One thing about 22s is they get DIRTY. I am planning for this in making the rifle easily striped to clean critical areas. When the trigger group is removed, you have access to the locking bolt as well, so I won't see guns being returned because they don't function due to powder residue. I am also attempting to make the barrel unit with unsoldered barrels. With these small barrels, I am cancerned the point of impact will wonder as the barrels heat up. Allowing the barrels to expand freely will help. They will also have a regulating system for customers to re-regulate as they need to. Curl, Thanks for the encouragement on the .410 size and overall. I like the smaller size as well. Did you receive my e-mail? |
