CardiacDoc, I don't have any particular firearms engravers in mind to suggest, but there are a number of good books out there available on both the gun engraving art as well as firearms customizations. I'd go to your local bookstore (or library) and have a look in their firearms book sections. Just browsing through one of the books on the above subjects and looking over pictures of examples of their work might get you pointed in the right direction. Oftentimes, the addresses and telephone numbers for those displaying their work in these books will be found at the back of the books. Current and past issues of Gun Digest will also often feature custom engravers and their work, along with contact information. The same applies to The Double Gun Journal and an assortment of other firearms publications that are available. Lastly, if you do a search on-line for "gun engraving," "gun engravers," "the art of gun engraving," or even just "engraving" itself--I am sure you will uncover a lot of information, perhaps work that would turn out to be exactly the kind you are interested in. Hope this helps. Good luck to you and congrats on getting the .470 DR! Best regards, "LightningTwice" ![]() |
