Quote: Grandveneur, Regulated properly, there is no reason a double rifle cannot produce as good accuracy as any hunting bolt rifle of the same chambering! I have seven double rifles, and I don't think you want to stand at 300 yds and hope I can't hit you with all but one of them. The one that is limited is a Muzzleloader 58 cal double, that simply doesn't have the range capability, but look out with the 9.3X74R, or the 8X57JR double! Mike Bailey, what you want to do is mount the scope as low as possible, and choose the scope that is as light as you can find. This will effect the recoil flip far less, and will not, in my experience, usually blow your regulation. You are correct! Find the center of each barrel's individual group, and zreo your scope exactly half way between the two centers, and go hunting! .......................Good hunting! ![]() |
