The question is what would it give yu that the others wouldn't ....
Something new!
Perhaps cases modified/shorter but still tapered and flanged to better utilise modern propellants without the need for fillers.
If re-designing for the need to do without fillers, then there are many more possibilities.
Just a desire to be creative.
NitroX just came up with a dirrection in modification that makes sense! I've always said we need a flanged 243 Win cartridge, so a real fast action double rifle for deer hunting could be made very reliable, yet fast enough to have a very flat trejectory! I'd buy a double rifle, so chambered, in a heart beat! I have a little MCA Mannlicher Shoenauer 243 that is a one hole shooter, and kills like lightening on Muledeer. Nothing would be faster in the woods, for runing deer, that a double rifle chambered for a flanged 243Win, or 7mm-08. I Thougt about building one on the necked down 307 Win case, which is simi-rimmed, but a full flanged case would be more reliable. With this line of thinking, flanged cases could be made for many very good cartridges that are not now suited for double rifles. The list would be endless!
