I saw somwhere that Carl Grundig was a gunmaker from about 1880 to 1939 when the war started, then of course Dresden was bombed in 1945.
The cartridge could be proprietry, as I see on an International Ammunition Association forum listing that Grundig had at least one of his own cartridges made by H.UTENDOERFFER around 1900
The doll's head & action are marked CROWN over V - does anyone know what this means?
The V would indicate that its pre april 1893 as it is the first proofmark used in germany and the law came in 1891 so probably 1891-1893 and the V stands for "Vorath" = in stock. That meens that it was in stock 1.jan-1.april 1893 when the law came into full action.
The underlevel seems long is its a slide and tilt system as the collath?
