I use Bertram brass in my 450 No2. I have some cases that have been reloaded @30 times and are still going strong. I have yet to loose one.

Here are some Nitro for Black loads for the 577 3", so you might want to reduce them a little to start in your 2 3/4" double.

101gr of Varget, 650gr bullet, 1850fps at 7.8tpsi [tons per square inch]

78.5gr of IMR 4198 650gr bullet, 1840fps at 8,9tpsi

You must use filler with these loads.

I have used Nitro for Black loads with IMR 4198 in my 450 No2 and in my 450/400 3 1/4" with dacron filler, with lead and jacketed bullets.

I have also shot a fair amount of game with a 286gr .035jkt Hawk in a 9,3x74R and in my 450/400 with a 300gr .025jkt, and one pig with a 400gr .035 Hawk bullets.

They work great.
