Re: What caliber for a 1st Double??

1st DR - .375 Flanged Mag Vintage U.K. maker,
sans claw mount, scope and ammo to weigh
under 9 pounds, having 26 or 28 inch bbls. Such
a rifle weighing 1.3 - 1.7 pounds less than a
typical 450/400 caliber is such a sweet thought.
It can be used on everything, though heavy for
some game and perhaps light for other game. A
second rifle in 500NE or larger, [if the gov't would
just learn the facts about DR's and stop worrying
about .50 cal and larger rifles and ammo, other-
wise a 500 grain caliber] would be a dreamy pair!
If only one rifle will be owned I vote 450/400 .41
by old U.K. maker, 26 or 28 inch bbls, weight be-
tween 9.7 and 10.1 pounds.
