Re: Has the dropping US Dollar driven double prices up?

It seems to me that the price of vintage doubles in the U.S. has gone up substantially in the past year. Has anyone else noticed the same?

In the USA,the vintage doubles have gone up considerably, depending on chambering, and maker. This has nothing to do with the exchange rate, but more because of the fact that the quality vintage doubles supply is dwendeling fast. The double rifles that have gone up in the USA, because of the exchange rate and fuel costs makeing shipping, cost out the roof, are the new, and used modern made rifles. This IS because of the exchange rate, and shipping casts and the fact that there are quite a few more customers for usable double rifles for hunting today, than even three yrs ago, and even at the higher prices of the NEW/used doubles, they are still cheaper to buy than the ventage rifles, and are a safer buy for the relatively un-schooled guy who is new to this type of firearm.
