I think most guys in Aust and the USA want the classic big bore "African safari" rifle, and so go for a .470 plus or minus.

Maybe later if they go "nuts" like everyone here

they get into medium and if "really nuts" small bore calibres.

Many Europeans with driven game hunting for boar, deer, moose etc may start off with a medium to heavy double rifle, and the 9.3x74R is probably the winner for that hunting among other medium calibres.
