Thanks! I'll remember that tip. I guess I'm a little bit nervous but excited at the same time. I remember the first time I shot my .340 Weatherby Mag (12 years old) I was so afraid that the scope was going to hit my head from the recoil. I sat down, placed the gun firmly in my shoulder and pulled that trigger...didnt care about aiming BOOOOM...the .340WM sounded like a canon. I barely noticed the recoil due to the excitement. I was no longer nervous. After a few shots on the bench, I stood up and took 3 shots free standing at 200 yards and had all 3 shots within 10 inches of which 1 was placed 1 inch off the bullseye...not bad considering I had no practice with high powered rifles. I think after I take the first shot with the .470NE I'll do fine. Practice makes perfect! Paul |
