I use the Elmer Keith method with hard kickers. Lean into the rifle bending your front leg a little. Pull the rifle into you shoulder with your trigger finger hand hard. Grip the forend tight and pull back with it hard too. Be sure your front arm is as directly under the rifle as possible. Place your face on the stock hard. This way the rifle and your upper body [including your head] recoil as a unit. Your shoulder should not collapse. |
