Re: Army Navy .450......Nitro or BP?

Thanks for your great help!

As I am looking for a nitro DR, here are two opportunities for me to purchase:

- M.Thys best quality boxlock .470 NE, engraved by Ph.Griffnée (golden big five one each side of the action). 24 inches chopper lump barrels, 100% of blueing on the barrels and CCH on the action. Super accuracy (about the same hole from RB and LB at 60 m).Brand new, made 1985. Priced at 30K US$.

- Mahillon DR boxlock .475 N°2, 26 inches chopper lump barrels, splinter forend, extended tang at the comb, ejectors, grip cap for spare front sight, quarter rib, english style cheekpiece with silver butt. Bright bores, but 25% CCH reminding one the action, a few marks of handling on wood and well used blueing on barrels (the rifle has spent 8 years in Africa in the hands of a PH). Action perfectly one face. No idea about accuracy. Priced at 15K US$.

Both rifles without case.
What is your feeling?

Chris
