This 450 & 9.3 combo gets mentioned alot as "perfect".... but it seems to me like you would always be carrying the 450 and the 9.3 becomes a backup, not to be used unless the 450 dies.
Nice problem to have, but...just wondering.

I took a 9.3mm and a .450 to Africa in 2006. When hunting elephant and buffalo yes I only carried the .450 and left the other in camp.
When hunting plains game in Namibia I used a couple of times the 9.3mm but mainly used the PHs 8x68S. I had wanted to try out that calibre and so it was available for my use.
If carrying both on a hunt, I would use the 9.3mm on preference for any plains game.
