Dear Martin,

When shooting hunting rifles for accuracy I place a very large wooden block on the bench. With my elbows on the bench and holding the rifle in my hands, I steady my left hand against the block. This allows me to get the best accuracy of which the rifle is capable. My bench rest equipment is used only for lightly-recoiling target rifles.
