Heym .470 Nitro Express

Yesterday my Dad purchased a brand new Heym Model 55B O/U .470 Nitro Express, his first Double Rifle! We have been debating for a few months whether or not to purchase this double rifle. The gun smith was selling the gun at dealers cost, just under $8000 CDN. I was told by another Gun Smith in the US that this exact gun would sell for $10-$12,000 US, so I can't say it was a bad choice. My Dad and I are very excited about the purchase and can't wait to go to the shooting range and give our shoulders a beating

. We are currently looking for a .470 Die and Brass so we can load our own ammunition but having a little difficulty locating some. Although we did find Federal Ammunition at $250/box (CDN). We will probably buy one box for now so that we can go test the rifle and then reload with that brass. However eventualy we would like to get the die and brass so we can reload. If anyone knows of a gun smith or web site who carries this caliber die and brass, we would appreciate any help.

Our next Double Rifle might be coming within a month or two. A Franz Sodia .458 WM with a second barrel .300 WM. This gun is beautiful and can't wait to go see it in person.
