I'm not trying to hijack the thread, but....
It never ceases to amaze me that folks would rather swage a bullet down than bump one up. If you just want a bullet to shoot and are not particularly concerned with terminal performance, then it makes little difference which way you go. Usually the smallest "bump/swage" is the best. However, if it is a normal cup and core bullet, and if you plan on hunting with the bullet, bumping up is always the way to go if at all possible. The spring back of the jacket will hold the core tighter on the bumped up bullet, while the swaged bullet will loosen on the core increaasing the chance of a core-jacket separation upon impact. I do not have any information on the effect of bumping either way on bonded core bullets. I suspect, but don't know for a fact, that bumping or swaging would be OK for these bullets. FWIW...Pilgrim
