Impressive footage

I think you'll find some exceptional shooting with any rifle - but @ 6mins you'll see some of the most magnificent I've seen with a double.

Very good indeed.

I see they have the Cluster F#ck of the Lion shoot
in there which is not good.

Re: Impressive footage

Certainly is some very, very gutsy shooting in this video, except for the elsewhere seen, lion debacle. I also read some of the comments and of course was not surprised by the responses of the anti hunters/gunners. I was disappointed though by some of the responses by some of the so called hunters. It is these sort of moronic comments that people remember and use to fuel their anti hunting debates. Perhaps if we all can post the occasional informative type comment when we see one of these videos, we may be able to slowly educate a few people.

Who in God's name puts the soundtrack on these things?
Though I must admit there is something poetic about watching Gen. Croddington shoot buffalo to the dulcet tones of "Smack My Bitch Up"............

The Mark Sullivan shots are interesting - eh? I've met both Mark and his son at SCI and have heard a few stories about him and how he gets some of those "real close" shots. Anything I'd say here would be hearsay, but suffice it to say, some of the shots are set up - ie, wound an animal, then egg it on until it charges.

My only close shot was on a Cape Buffalo in 1995. My fourth shot was at about 6 yards, but he already had three .416s in him and wasn't moving very fast. Still, it was exciting enough to where it still gives a thrill in 2007. It was a whole group more exciting than my elephant in '98. (Yup, I've got photos of both. I'll make avain glorious attempt to post them.)

A lot of that first stuff was right off of Chifuti Safaries demo cd--I am going hunting for lion and buffalo with them next May --so this is how I acquired one of them.. a lot of the other stuff is off of Versus station on satellite--"Dangerous game' show... pretty cool to watch...

Because in the popular media only one "side" of the debate is usually shown, I think we should NOT hide hunting, but get it and keep it right out in the open.

Many of the greenie goons would not even be aware hunting is allowed in Africa. Most of them get their "education" from the preservationalist animal wildlife documentaries on TV. You know the sort that always end up saying "... this animal is facing extinction ..." whether it is a widespread zebra, elephant, impala or a mountain gorilla which actually might be endangered.

Re: Impressive footage

No way we should hide hunting but put it in the open and show how it takes an asset like wildlife and actually enhances it.

I am not into U-tube debates but hunters should immediately respond to the ignorant greenies publically and not act ashamed!!Take the offense!!

If a hunter has a quality video of the hunting experience-show it!!Especially the ones stopping dangerous animal charges.Do you think the Greenies could handle that heat??Naw, they would just want to pet them!!

We have nothing hide.Reveal their stupidity with facts publically--Animals respond to wildlife management programs--that has been proven time and time again!!
