Took it out and punched some holes in paper and wood. A good day by any measure. 50 yards off-hand I think I need to drift the sight to the right a bit but overall I'm satisfied (except for the burned index and second finger and pad of my thumb). |

Really nice. Can you tell me what the different projectiles are? Were all the holes from the .577NE? Is the other rifle there your .600NE? |

Cheers! A few I hadn't heard of. What would be your projectile of choice for elephant? |

Quote: There are many who have much more experience than I do but based on the experiences of others as well as my own I will again be using the CEB#13 900 grain solid. That bullet penetrated from the right occiput to the left temple and was resting just under the skin. Stay well, Paul |

CCMDOC, Excellent report and well done all around. From Decision to purchase to downing an elephant and everything in between;) It looks to me like you had a loaded some GS FN Solids? I also have a 577 but I haven't been happy with woodleigh solids performance... So I've ordered GS 640gr FN. If you have used them or worked up loads using them in your 577 I'd really appreciate it. Regards Leon |

I have had a couple of V.C. 577's. Wish I still had one. Both of mine shot great. |
