S.I.A.C.E. Double Rifle
|
|
Does anyone have any knowledge of the S.I.A.C.E. Yukon Lusso (hammer) 45-70 double rifle? Shot one? Prices seem to start at $6800 and go up.

Those are rifled shotguns. The Yukon is a hammer double rifle in numerous calibers like 30-06 and 45-70.

I have the Alaska double rifle from Siace in 45-70. I wanted a 45-70, and the Siace was far more elegant than other production rifles under $10K. I am totally pleased with my purchase.

bwananelson - got your e-mail about the check - thanks.
BTW: are you talking about their .470 Nitro? Ken Buch at Kebco Llc says SIACHE has been waiting for paperwork from Italian government, but it's been four months with no answer.
I can't afford a .470, but just might be able to afford the Yukon hammer rifle in 45-70. It will go well with my .375 Ruger #1.
REN3 - what model did you purchase? Any photos? I plan on shooting Hornady 350-gr. What was your double regulated for?
If you were closer to me in Nevada, I'd come look at it.

Poprivit, I sent you a PM. My Alaskan was regulated for the 300gr 45-70Federal factory load, but I handload and worked up a 350grRN Hornady load with Starline brass and 60grs. of Varget powder. It is at 2000fps with about 3000flbs of energy. The pressure is low thanks to the Varget powder. It kicks a little, but is very accurate. I did have to replace the front sight blade since it was shooting high with my handload, but blades are readily available from NEGC and Midway.
