I have on here that I am going to use for a .470 It is of the same vintage I belive it to be a model 409 but it is unmarked. This one has a conceled third fastner ( pin) is yours the same ?

I personaly would not hesitate for a 45-70 at normal loadings ie factory or equilivent.

I write this with the normal cavats, it is your decision etc etc.
