A very good friend who is an RFD in the UK has found me a Charles Lancaster 12 bore hammer shotgun with Damascus barrels. The barrels are pitted internally but look fine on the outside. I am wondering, though, if the action could be used to build a double rifle on? I am not an expert in any sense and would have to get a professional gunsmith to do the work. It is also something that would take time - the gun is still in the UK and it has to be imported here first though that should be no problem because of its age. I also need to think a lot about the expense involved because I a an adult student once more, preparing for the "final examination." ![]() I would be grateful for all suggestions/sdvice here. Thanks in advance and good hunting everyonbe! |
