Sinner, I have a .375 double on order so I don't need an ultra .300. For some reason I don't like leather covered butt pads either, I prefer a skeleton colour case hardened checkered butt plate which is what is going on this. I have the same on my Bosis 12 bore and I think it looks very good. I am negotiating on a .470 at the moment which I guess I will have to have fitted with a leather covered pad but I don't think it is the most elegant solution, thanks for all the input chaps, rgds, Mike
