If your going to use a low profile mount, I would suggest stocking it: 14 1/2 x 1 1/8 x 2

If your using a pad make certain to use a thin 1/2" pad and cover it with burgundy pigskin. So you would have the stock cut to 14" in this case, to accommodate the pad width of 1/2".

Hagn actioned rifles deserve pigskin pads.

I would have chosen a 300 ultra chambering though over a 30-06.
