I am left handed using a 470 NE Krieghoff for my guiding work. Its a right handed rifle, the recoil is stiff and I am planning on getting the gun fit by a gunsmith. I know you can buy left handed stocks but budget does not allow for that at the moment. My question is: will bending the stock make a great difference in the felt recoil and why do double rifles have a cast on or off, I can understand cast on or off for a shotgun which one does not use sights but surely for a big game double rifle it will make more sense to have a straight stock which should I presume make for better recoil displacement than a stock with a slight cast? |
