It's not quite .22 LR - but how about .22 Hornet or .218 Bee? I don't have my copy of Cartridges of the world but I'd think it should fit the frame - think like a miniature .450/400. It would be easier as it doesn't require the offset firing pins, and you can reload to get the shots to regulate.
