It's an idea I've had for years that won't go away-wondering how feasible it would be to start with a .410 double receiver-likely a new Stoeger or one of the EAA imports to keep costs down a bit. After that I'd like to get rimfire barrels of the same contour as the .410 barrels. IF legal it would be 16" barrels instead of 18"-but not sure on legality since it would be originally a shotgun receiver. I know, it would be a long project, but if I could get it off the ground and it shot well, imagine rabbit hunting with a miniature "elephant gun".
Would the idea be workable, and has anyone tried it? If so, any advice would be appreciated.
