Double in Africa

The culmination of a project.
For those who have been following this thread over the many months since I started a dream was finally fulfilled.
My home built double went to Africa.
I hope that you will enjoy them.
Unknown to me one of the PH’s that I was to hunt with is a regular contributor to this forum as SAHunt (small world isn’t it). I have posted his pic with my double in full recoil left and right.
The last picture is of the only bullet that was not through and through. A 480 grain woodleigh that weighed 406 grains when recovered. It entered my first Wildebeest from the front of the chest at slightly greater than ¾ angle and was recovered under the skin in front of the opposite hip.
The rifle worked flawlessly and all of the PH’s present that week concurred that they would use it on a DG hunt without reservation, which was a nice compliment.
In fact one of them is negotiating with me to swap a .500NE version, for a Buff hunt….Watch this space.
