I don't mean to muscle in on new-guy's post but I understand what DoubleD is saying. Persoanlly if I had the $6,500 dollars in the first place I'd have been looking for a used Merkel or Chapuis rifle. However I agree that it's be great to be able to buy just actions or actions and monoblocks. I'd love to get an underlever (snap action) sized for the 9.3x74r. The trigger plate action I've been working on for over a year now is in it 10 change and still isn't quite right.

I know where there are some European trade actions sitting. They are all boxlocks with false sideplates and ejectors. There are also some chopper lump barrels of various calibers. You could basically get all the same parts for about $3,500. However this supply id really limited to what is on hand and won't be replaced. I can try to get a listing of what's available if some are interested.
