I'm sure there are those people who would be interested in this package, but not me.

Provide me with a complete action that has been heat treated, but not blued/color cased/surface hardened and a mono block, with or without stocks... I hate wood working so make stocks an option. With or without barrel blanks and ribbing. Then, you might get my attention.

But the whole idea for me is to come up with a double rifle without having to plunk down a big wad of money all at once and to learn how double rifles are built and regulated

I can come up with the bucks to buy a donor shotgun and use the existing wood..

Then later buy a couple of barrels.

Got reamers in the tool box.

Buy the materials to build the build barrels and most importantly learn how to do that.

Add sights.

Without even doing the math, I'll have way less than $6800 in materials. Yes my labor and time are worth something, and by doing it myself, I don't have to pay the money for that time and labor.

My guess is you can't compete with me. But of course my gun will never compete with yours.

This is the only way I will ever be able to have a double rifle.

For others who can afford it and want a rifle built more to their specs your package sounds like it might bethe way to go.
