I find the ramrod on the Kodiak 12 bore about useless for quick loading. The ball and patch combo that shoots well is very tight. I use a small rawhide hammer to start the balls, then a long aluminum ramrod with a T handle on it to ram home the ball and charge. In the field I'd use quickloads, and carry the ramrod on my back some how. When I shoot the heavy loads the rod falls out anyhow.

The stock rod is just to flimsy IMO, and needs a T handle so you can get a grip on it. If somebody could invent a folding ram rod with the tee handle that would work.
