Not my choice of cartridge............but it's not my rifle.

Beautiful rifle.

There's a lot to be said for a smaller calibre/energy double that you can shoot a lot more and enjoy without getting kicked to pieces.

I agree with what you say about the performance of this cartridge on game. There's nothing that would stand up to well placed shots from that cartridge. Remembering that there would be elephant successfully shot with them............and lesser cartridges.
