You are incorrect in your assumption that all A&D actions have firing pins integral to the hammers.
The A&D patent covers the method of cocking the hammers, it has nothing to do with firing placement.
Westley Richards (where the A&D design came from) would quite surprised to find that their double rifles are not A&D actions.
