I have a chance to purchase a Parker 12 gauge double. It was made in 1898 according to the Parker collectors website. It is marked Vulcan Steel on the rib, so it is not a damascus barreled gun. The bores are rough and the stock has been replaced, so it has little collector value. It still locks up very tight. Would this be suitable for conversion to a double rifle? If so, what calibers would it handle? I was thinking maybe 30-30, 38-55, .405 or 45-70. Thank you, Mark Poley |
