To all you builders and repair people out there, I am getting together a new order for top ribs to be machined locally. You can read a pretty good discription of them in the builders suppy section. I am going to try and get my machinist to make up a few that are longer, total length of these longer ribs will be 26.5 inches. These will work with 28 inch barrels where the short section of rib on the monoblock is re-used, or 26 inch barrels where there was a hollow top rib on your donor gun and you need to overlay the rear part of the rib over the monoblock. The extra length will be added to the rear quarter rib section. This will give older eyes a chance to get the rear sight further away and also give you more room for adjustment if you decide to mount a scope on the gun.
