John, The truly great thing about what Texas has done in the last 50 years is that they have preserved African animals that are either extinct or critically endangered in their home ranges. Last year we hunted free-range Aoudad in West Texas, a really physical hunt. This year we hunted Scimitar-Horned Oryx in the hill country, north-west of San Antonio. Next year, God willing, we'll be after Addax in the same area. There is no where else on the planet, that I am aware of, where these animals may be legally hunted and added to one's African trophy room. |
