Thank you both. I have been trying to convince people for years that a double rifle, properly regulated and sighted, is easily capable of shots out to 250 and even 300 yards. Two years ago, in Zimbabwe, I took my sable antelope at 208 yards with my self-built double rifle in calibre .450 #2 NE. I did not feel that I was stretching the capabilities of the rifle one iota.
