The gunsmith who did the chamber is very familiar with the 35 whelen. He has seen it before. I am thinking of the 338-06 to eliminate this problem. I am not fond of wildcat cartidges, as much as they may be better in some regards their lack of commonality is not worth it in my opinion. I was more interested in other possible factory options rather than the rethinking the 35 to any degree. |
