Capreolus, just a side question, but one is allowed to hunt(like waterfowl) with big bore shotguns, like 8 bore or larger? I recall reading somewhere that your still allowed to use punt guns for sport hunting correct?
Are 8 bore shells available, cause here the only nitro proof 8 bore shotguns are only used for cleaning boilers(which is a really awesome use of gunpowder, IMO.
Didn't mean to hijack your thread. But as others stated, with such potential for a big bore rifle, it would seem almost criminal to not make a nitro proof 8 bore rifle. I do love the .577 ne, my favorite of the nitro express calibers, but a 10 bore(one is for sale in the same auction as the 8 bore) would suffice and is quite a bit cheaper.
