I shot a Klipspringer that probably didn't weigh 20 lbs, last year, in Zimbabwe, with my .450 #2 NE. Dead is dead, as you say. Certainly, a 500 grain, .458 bullet at 2150fps does a heck of a lot less damage on a little animal like that than a 140 grainer at 3200fps!
